If expeditionary learning were an ice cream flavor, it would be sherbert.

If you were a student in school learning about ancient Egypt, would you rather:
  • Read about ancient Egypt?
  • Mummify a chicken?
Even if you are a little grossed out at the thought, who wouldn't prefer to learn in a way that is investigative, engaging and fun?!

Expeditionary learning is a vibrant, inquiry based, hands on way for our students to become experts on a topic that is developed in all subjects each semester. From expeditions like "Breaking Bread" to learning about "House Upon the Rock" or "Diversity," Doulos students are actively engaged in investigating, building, observing, tackling their subject in a way that the learning is alive, rememberable, and lasting.  Through projects, presentations, field work and investigation, our students are meeting with experts on their topic, collaborating, presenting (in 2 languages!) and becoming experts about their topics.

Enjoy the introduction below to last year's 9th & 10th grade's "Breaking Bread Expedition."

Connect with us because YOU'RE awesome like that.
The truth is we wouldn't be anywhere without God's faithful  who continue to lift us up and support us on this journey. We'd love it if you would stay vibrantly connected with us and participate with us.  The journey is  better together.
